Xie Jinyuan was assasinated on 24th April 1941. The assasinators were Sergeant He Dingcheng and three other of Xie Jinyuan's men. They were bought over by the Wang Jingwei regime, collaborating with the Japanese.

Xie Jinyuan was posthumously made a Major General, more than 100.000 people showed up for his funeral.

Origina description of the German Federal Archive: "Chinese infantry looks very similar to the japanese infantry! They also have german trainings methods as model. Our picture shows chinese infantry in firing line during an excercise."

The picture is dated February 1931.

I am not sure, but wouldn't helping to train other armed forces be a violation of the Versailles Treaty? I know already that the Treaty was not followed totally by the book also by the controlling states, but I wonder as I have never thought of it.
