Original caption: "NRA soldiers firing inside Sihang warehouse." The Battle of the Sihang Warehouse was fought during the Battle of Shanghai. Japanese troops besieged the warehouse, defended by Chinese troops, who later became famous as the "Eight Hundred Heroes". They covered the retreat of the Chinese forces to the West and inflicted comparatively high casualties to the Japanese.
