Battle of Shanghai

Communist leader Mao Zedong (right) and his principal lieutenant, Zhou Enlai, during China's liberation war against the Japanese (Communist branch).  They went on the vanquish the Chinese Nationalists, and to occupy the same relative positions as pre-eminent leaders of the People's Republic of China.  There are good reasons to believe that China might have been better off if their relative positions had been reversed ... Best regards, JR.
