A wounded Canadian Army soldier is given adrenalin on the deck of a Landing Craft Tank (LCT) alongside the HMCS Prince David (F-89) of the Canadian Navy off of the Normandy beachhead during the D-Day Allied landings (Operation Neptune); 6 June 1944. Near Bernières-sur-Mer, Calvados, Lower Normandy, France.

On the right with the raised barrel is a captured Soviet-style 76-mm cannon USV (in the Wehrmacht 7.62 cm F.K.297 (r)). In the center, slightly back is a captured Soviet 122-mm howitzer model 1938 M-30. Behind that is another USV. To the left in the foreground is a German anti-tank gun PaK 40; Normandy, France, 1944.
