Lt. General Crerar arrives in his jeep for inspection on 26th of July, 1944 - three days after his promotion to lead the 1st Canadian Army. The passenger in the jeep carrying the General's jacket is probably his assistant, Major Austin. The officer to greet him is Lt. Colonel R. S. Malone, commander of the 3rd Public Relations Office Group.
