Germans & Canadians work towards feeding the Dutch

Dead Canadian soldiers lie on the beach in front of the seawall at Dieppe, 1942.  A German soldier examines them looking for any that are still alive.  Note the one man laying with his feet facing the camera.  He has no boots on as he would have been trying to swim out to the landing craft waiting to take survivors of the raid off the beach.
