The one teenaged soldier looking at the camera seems to be saying "what the hell am I doing on this boat, they told me I was joining the Postal Corp?) lol May 1, 1944, off Portsmouth, England. For several days, sailors onboard HMCS Prince David watched exercises such as this with a Landing Craft Assault, and thought this was "IT", but it turned out just to be a dress rehearsal. These soldiers would not be standing easy if it were the real thing.
