Gerry Dore was only 16 years old when he was killed in action in France on July 23, 1944.  This boy would have probably joined up when he was 15 years old.  He was a member of the Fusiliers Mont-Royal from Montreal.

Gerry Dore was only 16 years old

A temporary graveyard in Holland, 1945.  Great pains were taken to identify properly the name, unit, and location of the remains of every fallen soldier, which were eventually transferred to one of the hundreds of Commonwealth War Graves.
