The five survivors of U-558 have just been towed over to the side of HMCS Athabaskan for rescue - July 24, 1943

U-558 Survivor is searched for weapons by the crew of HMCS Athabaskan.  He has been floating for five days on the Bay of Biscay and is suffering from shock, exposure and hunger but bravely remains standing before the Canadian sailors.
