William Martin Roscoe was born in St. Catharines and served in the Lincoln and Welland Regiment from 1939-1943. He was killed in action on October 28 while setting up a telephone wire during the liberation of Bergen op Zoom. He has been greatly missed by his signalling partner Ken Rowland and his family.

The Squadron was attached to the 25 Canadian Armoured Delivery Regiment (the Elgin Regiment) for administrative purposes only; for operations it came under command of various Infantry Brigades in turn.
