Pilot of the No. 183 Squadron of the RAF, Flight Lieutenant Walter Dring (1916 - 01/13/1945) stands on the wing of his fighter-bomber Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib at Gatwick airfield in southern England. Walter Dring was killed in action near the Dutch city of Bergen-op-Zoom on January 13, 1945.
