Blindfolded U-boat prisoners in single file on the deck of a British destroyer waiting to be taken off to a prisoner camp. The first on the lower left, the commander of U-643, Kapitänleutnant Hans Speidel. After RAF bombers spotted the German submarine U-643 and sank her with depth charges, the destroyer HMS Orwell picked up the survivors and brought them to Greenock, Scotland; 1943.
