Led by a British soldier (MP), a line of German prisoners of war is marched along a barbed-wire barricaded lane as they arrive at a POW camp somewhere in England, in June 1944, following their capture in Allied assault operations on the French Normandy coast.

Their new home

A group of liberated slave labourers enjoy cigarettes given to them by British paratroopers. The 'SU' painted on their clothes indicates that they are Russians.

Forced Labour Conscription

Archives: Its raining in Oss, November 17th 1944. This Achilles' tankcrew has covered themselves up for the weather. Oss was/is an industrial centre in the Netherlands, famous for the first marjorine and women's pill production worldwide.
 Even though it was an important city, virtually no fighting took place. Small skirmishes, sure, but nothing major.
