Villers-Bocage is a commune in the Calvados department in the Basse-Normandie region in Northern France. There was a significant battle there between the British and German forces on June 13, 1944 during the Battle of Normandy.  Two weeks later the village was destroyed by 250 RAF heavy bombers...
