Crash in Africa

Colonial troops looking for the wreck of an aircraft, likely a Martin Baltimore, crashed on the border of the Accra airport, Gold Coast, today Ghana, (take-off or land?) passing just over a thatched hut. Accident sure occurred during the ferry flight to Egypt for airplane’s delivery to RAF. Simple envisage the crew’s fate, for less than a miracle… The date of the photo is the same (21-12-42) of the picture of the Baltimore in flames: two accident the same day or, more likely, a date of photo’s filing?
