Among the actions in which 2 Batt. were involved at Arakan was the taking of "Point 551" - otherwise known as "Rajput Hill", following the failure of a number of other units to dislodge the Japanese defenders. Indian troops work to repair the railway marshalling yard at Bologna following the city's liberation.  Bologna was - and remains - a major hub of the Italian railway system, and was very heavily bombed while under German occupation.  Fortunately, as the railway station and related facilities are some way outside the historic centre, damage to that area was relatively limited.  Best regards, JR.
