Vickers Warwick in Italy

A RAF’ Vickers Warwick at Pomigliano d’Arco Airfield, near Naples. The aircraft is surely a plane of No 293 Squadron equipped with the Warwick employed in the air-sea rescue role over the Mediterranean, based at Pomigliano from March 1944 until March 1945 when the unit was moved to Foggia. In June 1945 the 293 Squadron moved back to Pomigliano where it stayed until it was disbanded on the 5 April 1946. Victor Sierra
