Major General John Charles "Jock" Campbell (1894-1942); VC, DSO & Bar, MC
Brave & unforgotten leader.
On one occasion in North Africa he walked into an enemy fortress on his own and captured about 90 Italian officers having lunch only by waving around with his pistol.
General Campbell died in a car crash in the Western Desert in 1942.
