Sergeant Basil 'Titch' Pyne watches the armourers reloading the guns of his early fixed-pitch Hurricane, Rouvres Airfield, France, 1940. Pyne was shot down in combat near Voncq, 11 km north of Vouziers, and killed on May 14, 1940.
