A wounded soldier of the 2/16th Australian Infantry Battalion is being assisted to the Regimental Aid Post during the attack on the Japanese held "Pimple", Shaggy Ridge in New Guinea; December 27, 1943.
The wounded soldier, Corporal Merv Hall, later received the Distinguished Conduct Medal for his actions during the assault.
