American Propaganda 

Diagram of what the Germans regarded as the ideal layout for a "Tobruk" fortification incorporating an obsolete/disused tank turret, mounted in concrete.  Circumstances often did not permit such a neat arrangement to be achieved.  A "Tobruk" could also be incorporated in another, larger fortification - as in the 10.5 casemate/bunker now occupied by the Channel Islands Military Museum.  Best regards, JR.
