Poster promoting the Reich Party Day, 1937. By 1937, the Party and the Army were capable of putting on a much more impressive (if rather delusionary) display for the Reichparteitag, including substantial numbers of soldiers, tanks and military aircraft following on Germany's rearmament, than would have been available to Leni Reifenstahl for the movie, "Triumph of the Will" in 1934. However, the official film record is by lesser cinematographers, and is relatively sparse and uninspired. By this time, the Nazis were securely in power, and a Reich Party demonstration had been relegated from primary to routine propaganda significance. Best regards, JR.
