"Keep Calm and Carry On" third poster in the intended "home publicity" campaign of the Ministry of Information, cancelled mainly due to adverse public reaction to the first two posters on their release in September, 1939. The now-famous "Keep Calm" was never issued at the time, but was commercialized following the discovery of a copy in car boot sale in the year 2000. Subsequently, a small number of copies were unearthed in the UK Public Records Office (National Archives). The posters follow a common design, with the slogans delivered against a range of strong background colours, surmounted by the "Tudor Crown" (a British Royal/official emblem). Best regards, JR.
