Cohan (1878-1943), producer, impresario, inventor of the Broadway musical, and author of numerous songs including what for me is the best American rallying song of two World Wars, "Over There" (1917). The resemblance with James Cagney, who played him in the fictionalised biopic "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (1942) is pretty close. Again, happy Independence Day, Yanks ! Best regards, JR.
