“Domenica del Corriere"

The cover story of “Domenica del Corriere”, the Sunday’s illustrated supplement of daily newspaper "Corriere della Sera", year 43, number 18, date May 4, 1941, XIX (XIX year of Era Fascista/Fascist Era). Caption: Corfu’s Italian Occupation. Air Force’s units and Camicie Nere (Black Shirts) landing on Corfu and taking possession of the Island. Author of the cover was the well know drawer Achille Beltrame. The scene is in good part of fantasy. For example the seaplane is a flying boat vaguely similar to Macchi MC.100, a civil aircraft, but surely not to Cant-Z-506, a float plane. Victor Sierra
