My fasther home on leave for a short time on a visit to us in Coswig and treating us with some cake mixture. This was taken in 1943 the last time he would be able to visit us as he was moved to Russia and soon after reported missing presumned dead.

Having joined the German Regular Army in 1932, no doubt rather than being jobless, this photo was taken around 1935.

I wonder if he had any idea what would be expected of him from 1939 onward.
