The area of the German cemetary north west of Pitomnik, the most important German airfield inside the Stalingrad-pocket, today: The graves have been opened and desecrated by grave robbers, bones and pieces of equipment (rusty helmet etc.) are lying around. The sad and macabre climax: a couple of years ago a Russian seller offered German skulls, jawbones and other items on ebay!
