A Ju 87 D-5 banking away from the camera. Of note are the characteristic extended wing tips of the D-5 variant and the Stammkennzeichen (four letter factory number) under the wings. Also of nterest are the Dinortstabe extenders fitted to the bombs on the outboard wing pylons. 
These extenders, named after their inventor, Oskar Dinort, consisted basically on 60 cm metal rods welded to the front of the bomb, with an 8 cm metal disc on the end of the rod. This would cause the bombs to denotade some 30 cm above the ground, thus increasing the lethal radius of the same.

Last moments of Heinkel He 115 W.Nr. 20382 of 1./406 on 6 February 1944 as it is shot down by a Mosquito of 333 Squadron near Bremanger, Norway. Ofw Herman Borgards and his crew didn't survive.

This poorly cropped photo shows a flight of Ju 52/3m of 1./KGzbV 1 in late 1937. Although still painted in a pale grey finish very similar to that used by Lufthansa aircraft this airplanes already had the civil registrations replaced by the Balkenkreuz and five character unit identification codes. Of particular interest is the semi-retractable ventral 'dustbin' gun position with the unfortunate gunners clearly visible on several of the aircrafts. Several of these converted Ju 52/3m saw active service with K/88 during the Spanish Civil War.
