Wardog 'Ricky'

This is "Ricky", a decorated member of the USMC 6th War Dog Platoon, in action on Iwo Jima in 1945. Despite the debilitating heat, the dogs performed extremely well, so much so that Japanese snipers made the dogs priority targets.
