the fellow in the center is SSgt. Robert Wilcox, he was killed july 20 1944 on another plane that was shot down by flak. the other two are, I believe, SSgt. William O' Donavan and SSgt. William Russell I don't know which is which

the famous photo from stars and stripes of 41-35177 Uden Uden's Oil Burner. my uncle SSgt. Albert H. Hurt is dumping everything to save weight of the a/c.  attacked just after delivering their payload by me 109's they had to fly 2hr back to Villacidro, Sardinia . 2LT Bennett received the DFC for landing them safe and sound. uncle al never wanted to tag along on another mission again!
