Preljina Airfield, at this time Yugoslavia, today Serbia, April 1941: a German serviceman in front of a Yugoslav Air Force’s Italian-built bomber Savoia-Marchetti S.79 destroyed on the ground likely by a Luftwaffe’s raid. Before the WW2 outbreak the Yugoslav Air Force purchased forty S.79 twenty-six of theme were in service on the eve of the German attack with the 7th Bomber Regiment, HQ Mostar: 66th Bomber Group at Preljina and 67th Bomber Group at Gorobilje.
