The mass of aircraft’s types delivered by both the alignments to the Türk Hava Kuvvetleri, Turkish Air Force, included also the British made Bristol Beaufort (in this photo with, in background, a Westland Lysander also employed by the Turkish). Thirty two Beaufort were brought to Turkey from the RAF’s stores in Egypt in March,1944 and they immediately replaced the existing Blenheim of the 105. Torpil Grubu (105th Torpedo Group) based, with two Aircraft Squadrons (1. Tayyare Bolugu and 2. Tayyare Bolugu) at Kocekoy.
