The tail of the Macchi MC.202 military registration MM7834 (MM for Matricola Militare, registration’s mode still in use in Italy for Government’s aircrafts) of a 51st Stormo’s Squadriglia (151st Squadriglia). Note the Stormo’s emblem, the Black Cat with three green mouses on the fuselage’s white band. The MM7834 is a Macchi MC.202 “Folgore” 3rd Series. On the fin the typical indication of the type’s aircraft name on use in Italy at this time: Aer. Macchi C.202, C for Castoldi, designer’s name, Mario Castoldi, Aer. Macchi for Aeronautica Macchi) Serie III (3rd Series). Victor Sierra
