The Fuhrer exits the Olympic clubhouse at Garmisch, to salutes from unidentified SS and Olympic officials.  There seems to have been so many deliveries of the "German Greeting" as to risk a general outbreak of "frozen shoulder" among the adoring populace ... JR.

Winter Olympics 1936 - It's That Man Again ...

Hitler takes centre stage on the dignitaries dais, surrounded by Olympic officials and National Socialist officials, at the opening ceremony.  Although they are not identifiable through the swirling snow, I recall that Deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess and Hitler's Deputy Head Adjutant, Julius Schaub, were among the platform party.
