Rommel's casket

After his death Rommel's body was taken to the hospital in Ulm. Two days later it was brought back to his home. On October 18th (1944) the coffin was carried from the house, past an honor guard and placed on a gun carriage on which it was borne in state through the streets of Ulm (Germany).
