Panzerjäger "Marder II"

One of the mainstays of the German Armored Forces in the first part of WWII, was the Pzkpfw III medium tank. This was reliable and well-protected but carried only modest offensive armament. The tanks pictured here are those seen later in the middle part of the war, after side armor had been added to protect the upper part of the tracks, the running gear, and the junction of the hull and turret.
