Indian Army soldiers struggle to transport gear across a hilly Burmese mudbath, ?1944. That the soldiers on both sides could fight in conditions like this is proof, if ever there was, of the if something must be done, however difficult the conditions, humans will generally go and do it. Great respect to all who fought in this theatre, from which many did not return. JR.
