Hawker Hurricane IIA: This Hawker Hurricane IIA was flown at Langley Research Center in the USA. The NACA (now NASA) ran a series of stability and control flight tests on this aircraft, which carried the RAF serial Z2963. The Hurricane is perhaps best known as the prime British fighter in the &quot;Battle of Britain.&quot;
