Sully Kalen\'s Ammo Box

This picture is somewhere in the South Pacific. Dad is the middle Marine holding the Captured Japanese Flag. He suffered from Malaria and lost a lot of weight. I would love to find out more about his time in Guam. According to a story that he told my mother, he and a scout buddy, they were guarding the hospital and they were short of ammunition. They flipped a coin to see who would go back to get the ammo and the other marine had to go. He returned with the ammo and slumped next to my dad against a tree. Dad started talking to him and he didn't reply, it turns out that he was dead, he had a knife in his back. I sure would like to know who that soldier was to thank his family for my Dad.
