Kellogs go to war !

Kellog corporation (1943)

Like many British, US, German and Japanese, the Kellog corporation, manufacturers of breakfast cereals, made their contribution to the war effort. In Kellog's case, this included producing single-serving packets of corn flakes and rice crispies for inclusion in the soldier's C-ration packs. They also engaged in the very common practice of wartime "piggy-back advertising", aimed at promoting sales of their product to the citizenry either currently or post war. In this example, the elves "Snap", "Crackle" and "Pop", cartoon champions of rice crispies, emphasise the convenience of their breakfast cereal as a contribution to wartime efficiency. Best regards, JR.
