US Marines and M4 Sherman tanks are engaged in combat in the jungle of Guam, Mariana Islands, Central Pacific ocean; August 1944.

Jungle warfare

At the Japanese Yontan air field on Okinawa, wounded Marines are loaded into a hospital transport plane for evacuation to rear base hospitals. This strip was captured on the first day of the assault and was put to use for American planes shortly thereafter; April 1945.
