Soldiers of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (made up of "Nisei" Japanese-Americans and Caucasian Officers) man a Bazooka near the town of St. Die, France in the Vosges Mountains. This unit was one of the most highly decorated American units of WWII: November 17, 1944.

Review of a highly decorated unit

The US Army's 442nd Infantry Regiment is the most decorated unit in the history of American warfare. It was also comprised almost entirely of second generation Japanese-Americans.
