US Army officers examine the effects of testing the 90mm M3 gun of a M36 Gun Motor Carriage on a Panther G tank, December, 1944.  The M36, which began to arrive on the European battlefield in August, 1944, was perhaps the best of the US tank destroyers, (reasonably) popular with crew.  Its big plus was its powerful 90mm gun - the effectiveness of which can be seen from this photo.  Best regards, JR.
