Rebuilding a bridge

An American paratrooper at an airfield in France in June 1944. In the foreground - a French Renault 31R, or rather, what is left of it. Most likely, the 31R, captured by the Germans during the conquest of France in 1940, was used to protect the airfield and was destroyed during its capture by paratroopers. In the background one can  see an American landing glider.
