Polish Forces

Polish soldiers from the Armoured Division.

They made their way across Normandy, Belgium, Holland and some German territory. Judging from their parade uniforms and the highest Polish military decorations on their tunics, the war is over. They wear two kinds of crosses: Virtuti Military (it’s in Latin) and Cross for Bravery in Battle (Krzyż Walecznych). The round medal is probably for taking part in the Normandy Campaign. And Poland remains occupied.
