Belgian Resistance nurse assists a Canadian infantryman with a minor injury - likely a posed propaganda photo, Antwerp, 1944. The nurse wears a Belgian Army helmet and a white gown/robe. Belgian resistants assisting the liberating armies "in the open" adopted these white robes as a sort of uniform, largely in the hope that any captured would be treated as combatants rather than as "franc tireurs" - likely a forlorn hope. Best regards, JR.
