In 1935 - 1938 The Czechoslovakia built thousands km of fortifications around the republic including about 10.000 bunkers. The German generals predicted a loss of 90% of their troops in the first wave of attack. Finally The Reich got those fortifications peacefully and the rest of Czechoslovakia became really vulnerable.
