The Italian tankette, the original version called the CV.29, designed in 1929, which was based on the Carden-Loyd Mk VI tankette, four of which were purchased from Britain; the CV.29 was in all respects similar to the British original, and 25 were built. They evolved and were gradually improved into the CV.33, the most numerous with 1,200 being built. The final variant was the CV.38.
