Canard Glider SAI SS3

Glider SAI Ambrosini SS3 Anitra exhibited at the International Aviation Saloon of Milan, 1937. This glider was the base-test for a revolutionary canard fighter of the Regia Aeronautica: the SS4. The SAI SS4 in 1940 had a speed of 540 km/h and an armament of two 12,7 and one 20 mm guns: without rivals if you consider the other Italian fighters of 1940. Unfortunatly it was considered by Regia Aeronautica too advanced for a reliable operational service. DVX
