Fallschirmjagers with 37mm anti-tank gun

German Fallschirmjagers maneuver a 37mm anti-tank gun into position. Although this gun had been quickly rendered obselete by rapid advances in armor protection. However, the success of the Germans highly effective handheld Panzerfaust rocket-propelled grenade-a "hollow" or "shaped" charge rocket that literally burned its way thru thick armor-led to the development of an even larger, 6.25 inch grenade. The new weapon was affixed to the barrel of the 37mm gun and fired in much the same way as the far smaller American rifle grenade, but with much deadlier results. (scanned by HOS Bandit)
